The solutions manual generated on July 13, 2007 requires the following corrections:
- Ch 1, Problem 16, change
$\bigcup\nolimits_i a_i$ to $\bigcup\nolimits_i \{a_i\}$.

$\bigcup\nolimits_j c_{i j}$ to $\bigcup\nolimits_j\{ c_{i j} \}$.

- Ch 1, Problem 51, 6th display, 2nd denominator:
Change
*p*_{n+1} to 1 − *p*_{n+1}. 2/3/10.
- Ch 2, Problem 19, change both occurrences of
$X_k= $10 to $X_k= $19.

- Ch 5, Problem 50, the definition of
*h*(*t*) is incorrect;
it should be as in the text, *h*(*t*) = **ln**

- Ch 4, Problem 55(c), 3 + signs in denominators should be −. 11/14/06.
- Ch 4, Problem 58, change
*x* to *y* in the formula
for *f*_{Y}(*y*). 5/16/07.
- Ch 7, Problem 32(a), insert = before the first integral. 11/29/06.
- Ch 7, Problem 32(b), note that the cdf and density are zero for
negative argument. Derivation and formulas hold for nonnegative
*z*. 3/26/07.
- Ch 10, Problem 8(a) change
*R*_{X}(*t*_{1}, *t*_{2})
to
*R*_{X}(*t*_{1}−*t*_{2}).
