Course Guidelines
- All ECE graduate students are required to register for ECE 600
during two semesters before graduation.
- Each student must attend eight seminars per semester.
- At least five seminars that you attend must be
officially designated "department seminars." All the
seminars listed on the course schedule fall into that
category. Seminar announcements will be posted around
the department. At the bottom of the announcement,
it will say, "A seminar in the ECE 600 Series."
- The three additional seminars that you attend may
be any combination of department, research group, or
non-ECE technical seminars on campus.
- When you attend a seminar in the ECE 600 series, you MUST
sign the attendance sheet that is passed around during the
seminar.
- When you attend a non-department (i.e., not one in the ECE 600
series) seminar, you must provide a signed statement from the
professor responsible for organizing the seminar indicating
your attendance. The statement must include 1) your name,
2) date of the seminar, 3) title of the seminar, 4) speaker's
name, title, and affiliation, and 5) professor's signature.
